“ CREDIT provides people with a chance to improve their standard of living ”
Mrs. Heang Saron, 29, and her husband Mr. Pong Khoern live in Pou Tapang village, Svay Proteal commune, Saang district, Kandal province. After getting married, the couple lived with his parents and used the area’s good soil quality and plentiful water resources to grow vegetables. Unfortunately, because he lacked proper equipment and capital, Khoern was forced to carry containers of water on his back over a hundred times a day just to water his crops. This was extremely hard work and Khoern was exhausted.

Before getting a loan from CREDIT, Khoern had to carry buckets of water on his shoulders many times every day to water his crops |
The loan he received from CREDIT has helped Khoern and his family tremendously. He used the loan to purchase farming supplies, including a water pump and hose to more efficiently water his crops. Now Khoern and Saron have their own land and house. They have one son, age 4.
